Coordinate (analog) intercoms are the oldest and cheapest. A separate wire to every apartment, audio-only handsets. The upside is price; the downsides — with 100+ apartments the wiring becomes a mess, one fault takes out the whole entrance, and there is no video.
Digital intercoms put all apartments on a single two-wire bus. Easy to install, video monitors can be added, works with RFID keys. Most new buildings have this. Downsides — no calls to your phone and limited expansion.
IP intercoms connect the entrance panel to the network; calls reach both the monitor and the smartphone. Open the door from anywhere, see entry history, view courtyard cameras, one dashboard for the management company. 30–50% more expensive than digital, but an in-apartment monitor is optional — the app is enough.
What should an association choose? Up to 3 entrances on a minimal budget — digital. A new complex or 100+ apartments — IP: residents connect via the app, no monitors to buy, and barriers and cameras can be added to the same system later.
Key technical points: panel vandal resistance (IK08, IP65), camera angle (120°+ to see faces), magnetic lock force (280–350 kg), a UPS for power cuts, and easy key-database management.
